What is the Warranty on the Purple Mattress Protector?

The Purple Mattress Protector comes with a 10-year warranty.

If you purchased The Purple Mattress Protector new in the USA from Purple or a Purple-authorized reseller and it is defective due to faulty materials or workmanship, Purple will replace or repair it at their discretion.

This warranty is only for the original purchaser and is non-transferable. It is expressly limited as described below, and we assume no other responsibility. Purple waives and disclaim all other warranties, including the implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose and the implied warranty of merchantability.

This limited warranty is valid for 10 years from the original purchase date of the Purple Mattress Protector. It applies only to individual purchasers who use the product for personal consumer use. The warranty does not apply after any resale of the mattress protector, whether new or used. To make a warranty claim, you must provide proof of purchase (including the date) and this warranty document.

You must keep these documents during the 10-year warranty period. This warranty applies only to the mattress protector and not to any other accessories or products associated with it. It is applicable only to normal in-home consumer use.

This warranty applies only if there are demonstrable defects in material or workmanship, if the materials of the mattress protector crack, split, or otherwise fail during normal use and normal handling, or if the mattress protector fails to protect the user’s mattress from liquids as claimed by Purple.

Purple Mattress Protectors are covered by warranty only if they are used on a mattress that is less than 13” deep, as prescribed, and is properly stretched over the mattress so as to cover the mattress entirely without straining the product; otherwise the warranty is void. This warranty shall not apply if Purple determines in its reasonable discretion that the mattress protector has been damaged, abused, or neglected.

Purple may reasonably determine this if there are tears, unsanitary conditions, footprints, burns, cuts, or signs of jumping on the bed, rodents, insect damage or other infestation, or damage from weather or sun exposure.

The warranty also does not apply to damage caused by normal wear and tear, moving, storage, natural disasters, Acts of God, inks, cosmetics, bleach, grease, nail polish, alcohol, dyes, chemical hair treatments, tanning related chemicals, solvents, molds, mildews, stains or odors of unknown origins.

For the health and safety of anyone who would be required to dispose of, or otherwise handle the sleep set, Purple and its retailers or agents may refuse to inspect such products to assess whether covered by the warranty, in which case, Purple reserves the right to deny warranty coverage. Comfort preferences are not covered under warranty.

If Purple reasonably deems your mattress protector defective according to the terms herein during the 10-year warranty period, the Purple team will not charge you to repair or replace it. However, any transportation handling and costs and inspection costs associated with repairs or replacements are your responsibility.

The warranty for any repaired or replaced mattress protector runs from the date of original purchase and not from the date of the replacement. Whether to repair or replace the mattress protector is at Purple’s sole option.

If Purple replaces your mattress protector, you must send the product being replaced to Purple or dispose of it as directed by Purple.

Purple is not liable for incidental or consequential damages arising out of any breach of this warranty or resulting from the use of any mattress, cover, foundation, frame, pillow, top-of-bed product (such as comforters, sheets, mattress protectors or blankets) or accessory. Replacement or repair as set forth herein is the exclusive remedy for breach of this warranty. There are no express or implied warranties, including without limitation fitness for a particular purpose and implied warranties of merchantability.

The only warranty is the warranty described on the face of this limited warranty. This warranty is not effective if the product is used outside the USA (there may be a separate warranty for non-U.S. product but be advised that it may not be from Purple).

Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so limitations or exclusions herein may not apply. This warranty provides the original purchaser specific legal rights, and there may be other rights which vary from state to state.
